Jen primarily grew up in San Diego but since she has lived most of her life in the Bay Area, she considers the Bay home. She has a B.A. in English, Creative Writing from S.F.S.U. and an M.F.A. from Mills College also in English, Creative Writing. She mostly writes Poetry and since poetry does not pay the bills, she has extensive experience in the retail & food industry. She learned her management style from Starbucks, where she worked for 16 years. Starbucks was an amazing career, but she is thrilled that she has now landed in the Cannabis industry and works for an innovative and forward-thinking company, The Artist Tree. The El Sobrante community has been so supportive of Jen and of The Artist Tree, she has gotten to know many folks from the community by working there. She has participated in such events as The El Sobrante Stroll and El Sobrante Pride as well as various Chamber events and is looking forward to what 2026 brings! ”
