MEMBER HOSTED EVENT

February 14 @ 1:00 pm - 3:00 pm
WayShowER Sanctuary will present a workshop – Feb. 14, 21 and 28…….
Trauma Education & Release @ The Good Table.….

This session offers a gentle, accessible introduction to how stress and trauma can develop over time and how they are commonly stored in the body and nervous system — often without our conscious awareness.

The first portion of the session focuses on education, helping participants understand:

  • What trauma is (and what it isn’t)
  • How ongoing stress, life events, and overwhelm can become held in the body
  • Why the nervous system plays a central role in tension, reactivity, and fatigue
  • Practical ways the body naturally seeks release and regulation

The second portion of the session is experiential, guiding participants through a series of simple, body-based movements designed to support natural release and nervous-system settling. These exercises are gentle, optional, and self-paced, with an emphasis on safety, choice, and listening to the body rather than pushing or forcing.

No prior experience is needed. This is not a fitness class or talk-therapy session. Participants are encouraged to work within their own comfort level, take breaks as needed, and engage in a way that feels supportive.

The overall intention is to provide education, awareness, and practical tools that participants can take with them — fostering a better understanding of their own stress responses and how the body can return toward balance.
