Lauren Hanley Memorial Scholarship
The Chamber of Commerce Scholarship fund was renamed the Lauren Hanley Scholarship to pay tribute to our our friend and colleague. Lauren was President of the Chamber (at age 34) when she passed away in August 2020. She was employed at Nerd Crossing as Director of Marketing and Web Design.
Her interests included the arts and theatre, journalism, English literature and of course computer programing. She was a published author, an actor, and an avid animal lover, especially dogs.
Graduating seniors from De Anza High School who have an interest in any of Lauren’s passions listed above are eligible to apply for a scholarship in the spring. Applications can be obtained from the school’s guidance counselors.
Anyone who is interested may contribute to the Scholarship Fund by contacting the chamber’s scholarship committee at the chamber office, or directly contribute by Paypal by going to the SHOP tab on the Blue tool bar at the top of the page and select Scholarship.
